After-School STEAM Classes Terms and Conditions
SPLATTER LEARNING LLC
Terms and Conditions / Enrollment Agreement
Effective for all after-school program enrollments
1. Agreement
By completing enrollment and submitting payment, the parent or legal guardian ("you") agrees to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the enrolled student. Only a parent or legal guardian may enroll a student in a Splatter Learning program. Enrollment is not confirmed until full payment is received.
2. Payment
Full tuition is due at the time of enrollment. Payment is processed securely online through Stripe. No additional fees or registration costs apply beyond the published tuition amount. Your enrollment is not reserved until payment is complete.
3. Refund and Cancellation Policy
Cancellation by you: If you cancel your enrollment 10 or more days before the first scheduled class, you will receive a full refund. Cancellations made fewer than 10 days before the first class are non-refundable for any reason, including illness, schedule conflicts, or changes in circumstance.
Missed classes: There are no refunds or make-up sessions for individual missed classes. All sessions are non-refundable once the program has begun.
Cancellation by Splatter Learning: If Splatter Learning cancels a session before it begins due to insufficient enrollment or any other reason, you will receive a full refund. If Splatter Learning must cancel a program mid-session for reasons within our control, a pro-rated refund will be issued for the remaining unused sessions. No refund will be issued for cancellations caused by school closures, acts of nature, public health orders, or other circumstances outside Splatter Learning's control.
Minimum enrollment: Each program requires a minimum of 18 enrolled students to run. If minimum enrollment is not met, the session will be cancelled and all fees will be fully refunded.
4. Program Changes
Splatter Learning reserves the right to adjust session dates, times, locations, or program content as needed. We will notify enrolled families of any material changes as soon as possible. Changes to the school calendar or facility availability may affect scheduled sessions.
5. Photo and Video
Splatter Learning may photograph or video-record students during program sessions for use in marketing, social media, and promotional materials. We make every effort to avoid capturing identifiable faces of minors in any published content. By enrolling your student, you grant Splatter Learning permission to use any images or footage taken during program sessions in which your student may appear for these purposes. If you do not consent to this, you must notify us in writing before the first session at Lisa@splatterlearning.com. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.
6. Medical Release
By enrolling your student, you confirm that your student is in good physical health and able to participate in hands-on building activities. You authorize Splatter Learning staff to seek emergency medical treatment for your student in the event of an injury or medical emergency if you cannot be reached. You agree to provide emergency contact information at the time of enrollment and to keep that information current. Splatter Learning is not responsible for the cost of any emergency medical treatment.
7. Liability Waiver and Release
Splatter Learning programs involve hands-on building activities using tools including kid-safe power saws and hot glue guns. Participation involves inherent risks including but not limited to cuts, burns, and other minor injuries. Splatter Learning instructors provide safety instruction and supervision at all times, and all students are required to use appropriate safety equipment including gloves.
By enrolling your student, you, on behalf of yourself and your student, voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in Splatter Learning programs. To the fullest extent permitted by California law, you agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless Splatter Learning LLC, its owners, employees, contractors, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of or related to your student's participation in any Splatter Learning program, including claims arising from the negligence of Splatter Learning, except where prohibited by law.
You acknowledge that you have read and understood this release and are signing it freely and voluntarily.
Note: California Civil Code Section 1542 provides that a general release does not extend to claims the releasing party does not know or suspect to exist at the time of executing the release. By agreeing to these terms, you expressly waive any rights under California Civil Code Section 1542 with respect to the matters released above.
8. Conduct and Dismissal
Splatter Learning expects all students to participate respectfully and follow safety rules at all times. Students who repeatedly disrupt the program or pose a safety risk to themselves or others may be dismissed from the program. In the event of dismissal for conduct reasons, no refund will be issued.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these terms or your enrollment in a Splatter Learning program shall be resolved in the county in which the program takes place.
